Membrane Biology - Yang Lab, Duke University School of Medicine

Collaborate in a dynamic, interdisciplinary team to unravel the mysteries of membrane ion and lipid transport and their roles in various diseases. This is your chance to contribute to groundbreaking research with real-world impact on hematological, cardiovascular, reproductive, and neurological disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Lead ambitious projects exploring molecular and cellular mechanisms of novel membrane lipid transporters and ion channels.
•    Engage in a spectrum of activities including literature review, experimental design and execution, data analysis, communications with collaborators and journal editors, and dissemination of findings through conferences and publications.
•    Apply for fellowships and awards, and mentor junior scientists.

Qualifications:

Essential: PhD or MD in biophysics, cell biology, biochemistry, structural biology, physiology, hematology, neuroscience, or related fields. Strong communication, decision-making, and time management skills.

Preferred: Experience in patch-clamp recordings, biophysics of ion channels/transporters, optical imaging, lipid biochemistry, structural biology, and physiological studies including but not limited to cardiovascular, hematological, reproductive and neurological physiology.
