Posting Summary
Rutgers The State University is seeking a Post-Doctoral Fellow within the Brain Health Institute of Rutgers University Behavioral Healthcare.    
The incumbent will work as a post-doctoral fellow in the Rutgers University Center for Autism Research, Education and Services under the Director of the center. Postdoctoral fellows assist the clinical faculty with directing and overseeing the assessment and treatment of children with feeding disorders or autism and related disorders. They will also be involved in developing and coordinating research programs. Postdoctoral fellows’ responsibilities will include direct
supervision of the development and implementation of assessment and treatment protocols. Postdoctoral fellows’ implement and monitor ongoing research activities in accordance with the needs identified by the clinical faculty. Additional responsibilities include developing, writing and implementing policies and procedures for the program. Postdoctoral fellows’ may work with patients who engage in severe forms of aggression which could result in bodily harm.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: 
  • Coordinate and direct client intake and discharge activities (e.g., conduct initial consent/paperwork with caregivers)
  • Coordinate and direct assessment and treatment procedures and assist with implementation as needed.
  • Review and edit initial drafts of session materials, session descriptions, and progress notes
  • Review assessment and treatment data to perform analysis of findings.
  • Monitor and ensure the fidelity of assessment and treatment procedures.
  • Develop and refine skill-acquisition programs (e.g., curriculum-based, developmental, social skills).
  • Develop and refine behavior-reduction programs (e.g., functional communication training, noncontingent reinforcement)

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience
  • A Doctorate in psychology or behavior analysis within 3 months of start date, Licensed or board-certified (within 6 months of start date) as a psychologist or behavior analyst,
  • Preference given to individuals with experience supervising work with children with feeding disorders or autism and related disorders in an educational, instructional, or therapeutic setting.
