JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Reporting to the Manager, PeopleSoft Systems, ensures successful and efficient implementation and operation of PeopleSoft (PS) applications for the Emory environment.
  • Assesses and implements changes and modifications to PeopleSoft (PS) system modules with no technical assistance/guidance.
  • Verifies successful operation of enterprise accounting, billing, grants, asset management, human resources, and student administration and information functions.
  • Interacts with enterprise-wide users to ensure Accounting, Human Resources, and Student Information modules function effectively and meet business requirements.
  • Utilizes the data center for printing, batch runs and recovery and batch process operations.
  • Builds customizations to meet users' business needs and provides support to the PS team to address challenging and complex needs.
  • Consults and assists junior PS team members with PS complexities to support resolutions and to build team skills.
  • Interacts with the vendor to initiate system updates, apply patches and fixes, and to participate in presentations.
  • Manages complicated integrations to analyze downstream impact on systems and users to test outside of the PS environment for ensuring effective operability.
  • Provides day-to-day Tier 1, 2 and 3 support for PS modules and performs maintenance on internal and external systems.
  • Consults with users to determine modules' production issues and to discuss new system requirements and modifications.
  • Performs technical design, development, and testing to ensure users' needs are met.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor's degree and five years of related experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience with Oracle, SQR, PeopleCode, and App Designer/Engine preferred.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University location as needed.  Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
