Job Overview

The position provides for the spiritual and pastoral care of patients, their surrogates, and associates of MedStar Georgetown University Hospital under the supervision of the department’s director and a certified Association of Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) supervisor in accordance with Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care (ERDs), Igantian identity, especially cura personalis and women and men for others, MedStar SPIRT values, and the standards set by ACPE. 

Work Interactions

Provide direct patient care to the patients, their families, and surrogates of MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, and the ability to have collegial relationships with fellow members of the department.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Graduate level theology or related field leading to a Masters degree, if not already completed. 
  • At least one prior unit in an ACPE accredited Clinical Pastoral Education Program.
