Position Summary

The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque New Mexico invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The primary appointment would be at the University of New Mexico Hospital (UNMH) - Sandoval Regional Medical Center (SRMC) campus, Department of Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine. Successful candidates will join a group of experienced Anesthesiologists.

Rio Rancho, New Mexico boasts 300+ sunny days per year and is a prime location for outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking, skiing, and more! Albuquerque alone offers more than 400 miles of hiking trails.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must hold unrestricted medical license
  • Must hold M.D. or equivalent
  • Must be Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or within three years of residency and active in the certification process

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Resident Teaching Experience
  • Research and Scholarly Activities
  • Experience Working in Trauma Call Assignments
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
