Job Summary:

The Neuropsychology Division in the Department of Neurosurgery at University of Colorado Denver Anschutz Medical Campus School of Medicine is seeking a full-time clinical Neuropsychologist. The University of Colorado Hospital Neuropsychology Clinic serves a broad array of neurologic, medical, and psychiatric patients, with the majority of our referrals coming from our Neurosurgery and Neurology clinics, including pre- and post-surgical evaluations for our Deep Brain Stimulation and Epilepsy Surgery teams. Other neurosurgical and neurologic populations that we frequently see include brain tumors, neurodegenerative disorders, multiple sclerosis, and concussion.    

Essential Responsibilities

  • Conduct outpatient neuropsychological evaluations within the UCH Neuropsychology Clinic.  Activities include neuropsychological testing, scoring, interpretation, and report writing, and providing feedback to patients and/or referring physicians.
  • Training and supervision of Neuropsychology Technicians to ensure quality of neuropsychological test administration and scoring and adequate performance of other essential job-related duties.
  • Training and supervision of Neuropsychology Post-doctoral Fellows.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Work Location:

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Assistant Professor Minimum Qualifications

Certification and Licensure

Must have an active license (or be immediately eligible for licensure) to practice psychology in the state of Colorado.  

Education

  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program, with an emphasis in Neuropsychology.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship specializing in Neuropsychology.
  • Completion of a two-year post-doctoral fellowship specializing in Clinical Neuropsychology.
  • Eligibility for Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP-CN)
  • OR Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP-CN)

At least three years of experience in full-time Neuropsychology clinical practice with at least one year of experience in clinical neuropsychology practice in an academic medical setting. Extensive experience with neurosurgical and neurological patient populations, including pre- and post- neurosurgical evaluations, brain tumor, epilepsy, movement disorders, dementia, and multiple sclerosis. 

Associate Professor Minimum Qualifications

Certification and Licensure

Must have an active license (or be immediately eligible for licensure) to practice psychology in the state of Colorado.

Education

At least five years of experience in full-time Neuropsychology clinical practice with at least two years of experience in clinical neuropsychology practice in an academic medical setting. Extensive experience with neurosurgical and neurological patient populations, including pre- and post- neurosurgical evaluations, brain tumor, epilepsy, movement disorders, dementia, and multiple sclerosis.

OR

Experience managing a multi-disciplinary Neuropsychology service in an academic medical setting with neurosurgical and neurological patient populations, including pre- and post- neurosurgical evaluations, brain tumor, epilepsy, movement disorders, dementia, and multiple sclerosis.  

- or - Any equivalent combination of Education and/or Experience

    Anticipated Pay Range:

    The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE.

    Assistant Professor: $115,000 - $135,000, based on rank of hire

    Associate Professor: $145,000 - $160,000, based on rank of hire

    The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
