Salary/Pay Range : $40,000 - $50,000  annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

This appointment is dependent on the availability of funding. Funding is currently expected to last one year.

Summary

The Administrative Assistant will provide office support to the Office of Institutional Equity, which supports the campus in maintaining an environment free from sexual misconduct, discrimination or harassment based on race, color, national origin, sex, pregnancy, age, marital status, disability, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, veteran status, political affiliation, or political philosophy.

 

Essential Functions

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as primary point of contact for Office of Institutional Equity, including monitoring of central office telephone and e-mail communication, data entry and routing to the appropriate recipient.
  • Conducts prompt, equitable and impartial intake screenings.
  • Provides clear information in response to inquiries about OIE resolution procedures.
  • Monitors all data entry, tracking, and reporting in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, including: Clery reporting, annual reports as required by Title IX regulations, and recording OIE responses and justification to all reports.
  • Collaborates with investigators regarding the status of cases; identifying and integrating best practices in the investigation.
  • Maintains updated case records and ensures continuity and standardization of case files.
  • Assist OIE staff in developing operational procedures in Maxient.
  • Support the UCCS mission of upholding a positive learning, working, and living environment, by participating in campus committees, as determined with supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in higher education, educational leadership, counseling, law, psychology, social work, sociology, human resources or other related field.
  • Experience with Maxient or similar conduct/Title IX case management software.
  • Experience with website management or related public relations experience

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in higher education, educational leadership, counseling, law, psychology, social work, sociology, human resources or other related field.
  • Previous Higher Ed experience.
  • Experience working with issues such as domestic or dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, sexual or gender-based harassment.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit. Employee is occasionally required to move. Tasks may involve using a computer screen continuously for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
