Job Summary

Responsible for providing leadership for all program initiatives and implements strategic priorities for initiatives. Manages and assesses interest in initiatives; monitors best practices, new technology, and changing needs of the academic research community, which includes graduate students, postdocs, and faculty. Responsible for communications, website, and technology related to strategic priorities and initiatives.


Essential Functions 

• Implements the Office of Academic Career Development (OACD) strategic priorities.
• Directs all ongoing program initiatives for the OACD, which includes engaging, informative and actionable programs that are part of the two professionalism series for trainees as well as faculty programs.
• Plans, manages, and assesses communication to promote programs for trainees through faculty.
• Plans, manages, and assesses communication and content development to support career development of trainees through faculty.
• Monitors best practices, new technology, and changing needs of the trainee and faculty communities.
• Collaborates with academic and administrative units across the University.
• Assists in managing the budget for the unit area.


Physical Effort 

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
