Trainee for Admission and Student Advice to work on Una Europa projects

The University of Helsinki International trainee programme is open to all international students enrolled in a University of Helsinki master’s programme.  

We are looking for a trainee for Admission and Student Advice to work on Una Europa projects.

For this position we are looking for a trainee who feels comfortable working independently, is interested in developing and sharing ideas, wanting to develop concepts into plans and pilots, and with a curious mindset.

Your tasks will include, but not be limited to:

  • Support the research, structuring, and writing of the toolkit for student engagement in international educational collaboration, due in November 2024,
  • Conceptualisation, development and piloting of the International Engagement Fair (aiming to create a fair to foster awareness, engagement, and interest in international communities for all students at the university), and
  • Supporting the daily work of student empowerment activities in Una Europa .

We expect you to have fluency in spoken and written English. Other language skills are an asset. You have a proactive way of working and good communication and excellent teamwork skills. Experience in communications or event management is an advantage.

The duration of a traineeship is 1 September to 31 December 2023 (four months) of part-time (50%) work, leaving time for studies as well. The salary of a trainee is €700 per month for a part-time (50%) trainee.
