Position Summary

The Anderson School of Management is seeking a qualified student with a positive, can-do attitude to provide administrative support to the Anderson School of Management’s Behavioral Research Laboratory.  This role serves as an administrative assistant to the Anderson School of Management Behavioral Research Laboratory (https://www.mgt.unm.edu/behavioral-lab), performing a range of administrative activities that support ongoing lab operations and data collection.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answers the telephone and provides general information regarding routine inquiries.
  • Greets study participants, logs arrival times, and provides general study information as requested.
  • Performs routine clerical work, data entry, and/or word processing.
  • Assists in the assembly of study materials and performs routine filing duties.
  • Performs specialized services of a routine clerical/administrative nature in strict accordance with established procedural guidelines, as appropriate to the position.
  • Some light lifting
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Work schedules are flexible and will be worked out with the supervisor before beginning employment.

Minimum Qualifications

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
  • Organized, responsible, and professional orientation toward job responsibilities and role.
  • Word processing and/or data entry skills.
  • Skill in the use of operating basic office equipment.
  • Receptionist skills.
  • Records maintenance skills
  • May require minimum GPA.
  • An academic interest in the social sciences (e.g., psychology, sociology), specifically an interest in scientific behavioral research, preferred but not required.
