Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | In accordance with guidelines and protocols of the University Health Center, utilize nursing skills and knowledge to provide general nursing care that meets the needs of patients and health providers.. This position is essential for health related University emergencies. |

Additional Information: | Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Duty/Responsibility (1): | Administer treatment in accordance with Physicians’ instruction or policies, procedures and protocols. Able to assess, evaluate patient problems and respond appropriately based on health care protocols and standards of nursing practice for normal, abnormal, emergent, and/or life-threatening situations. Provide assistance in any Health Center clinical work area assigned with the ability to learn and carry out all nursing functions specific to that unit. Utilizes knowledge of coding rules to accurately document care in the electronic medical record. Percentage (1): | 80% Essential Duty/Responsibility (2): | Provide assistance in any Health Center clinical work area assigned with the ability to learn and carry out all nursing functions specific to that unit. Ensure that patients are always treated with respect, non-judgmental attitude, and confidentiality. Percentage (2): | 10% Essential Duty/Responsibility (3): | Maintain appropriate level of nursing skills including but not limited to: injections, patient assessment and diagnostic techniques. Other duties as assigned Percentage (3): | 10% |
