Salary Range : $47.63 - $54.34 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

Summary

Part-time PRN Family Nurse Practitioner to work in a nurse-managed clinic at the UCCS Health Circle Primary Care Clinic in the Lane Center for Academic Health Sciences, providing healthcare services to UCCS employees and patients with participating health insurance. the NP evaluates, assesses, makes diagnoses, prescribes, and educates patients regarding their particular illness or chronic disease.  

Essential Functions

The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

• The NP is responsible for providing primary health care to patients in the UCCS Health Circle Primary Care Clinic, directed by the NP scope of practice, clinic policies, and procedures.
  
• Evaluates and treats acute and chronic problems for the pediatric to the geriatric population.
  
• Works with the Medical Assistants to provide are to patients.
  
• Collaborates and communicates with other health care providers to ensure optimal patient care.
  
• The NP assists the Office Manager and the Clinical Lead NP with other duties as assigned.
  
• Participates in the after-hours call on a rotating basis.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

• Master's degree in Nursing with specialty certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner by a national certification agency.
• Current unencumbered Colorado RN licensure and placement on the placement on the Advanced practice Nurse Registry with full or provisional prescriptive authority.
• Current CPR certification.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of experience in an outpatient clinical setting as an NP.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. Employee is occasionally required to sit for longer periods of time. Tasks may involve room and providing care for patients, looking at a computer screen, hearing within normal range. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
