Essential Duties

​​​​​

  • Lead daily operations of Next Lab and oversee a large (50-person) student team engaged in various technology projects, 
  • Lead student recruitment and fulfill the HR requirements of managing a large team including time management, mentoring and project tracking (using Airtable)
  • Implement agile processes for project management, track project budgets and deliver project milestones to clients
  • Foster a strong culture of trust and inclusivity within the student team and with our collaborators, increasing diversity and representation on our student teams.
  • Contribute to discussions on intellectual property and R&D activities
  • Advance our peer-to-peer model to cultivate future-ready skills and develop the future-skill curriculum 
  • Manage and advance the technology resources and lab infrastructure
  • Support development and nurturing of partnerships with academic and industry stakeholders, including project ideation and writing scopes of work

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND seven (7) years of related administrative experience, which includes four (4) years of supervisory experience; OR, Eleven (11) years of related administrative experience, which includes four (4) years of supervisory experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Working Environment

  • Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding and manipulating a computer mouse (75%); required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work (10%)
  • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (15%)
  • Regular activities require the ability to quickly change priorities and adapt to swiftly changing requirement, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
  • Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
