Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director for Brand Advancement, and in close collaboration with the Women’s Basketball program staff, the Multimedia Designer for Women’s Basketball will be responsible for producing internal and external facing content (video, photo, and graphic) for the UW Women’s Basketball program. This position will be responsible for planning, creating, and promoting multi-media projects for the purpose of program branding, recruiting, and player promotion for the Women’s Basketball program. This position will work on the ICA Sundodger Creative team and work collaboratively with other members of the Sundodger to develop and produce recruiting and promotional content to align with ICA goals and ensure ICA brand consistency.
Social Content Support –
This position is responsible for planning, creating, publishing, and managing content for Washington women’s basketball on all social channels (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, Twitter (X), and Facebook). The goal is to create a consistent, engaging, and enticing brand identity that functions as a recruiting tool and fan outreach. Develop a detailed plan for growing the brand, a clear visual identity, and content that tells a story across all channels. Content will range from photos and graphics to long- and short-form videos.

Direct Recruiting Support –
Produce multi-media content that directly supports the program’s recruiting efforts. Throughout the year, provide photos, graphics, and videos for potential student-athletes at each stage in the recruiting process. During official and unofficial visits, provide creative support. Update recruiting materials on a consistent basis. 

Social Influence Support –
Develop a network of influencers to promote content from the program and student-athletes in compliance with school, state, and NCAA policies. Stay abreast with trends, events, and posts from staff, players, and alumni in order to best promote the players and program. 

Gameday Media Support –
Oversee the preparation, execution, and promotion of all content related to games and practice for the women’s basketball team. Coordinate content for themed games and manage in-game content capture and publication. 

Internal Projects –
Oversee the program’s internal creative projects. Areas of focus include but are not limited to the following: themed videos, team event coverage, donor outreach, and student-athlete events. 

Logistics and Organization –
Maintain an organized workflow, contribute to meetings, and coordinate creative logistics. Attend all-staff meetings for women’s basketball, regularly finetune the workflow, and oversee print projects from ideation to production.
Other related duties as assigned.

Compliance with the rules and regulations of the University, the NCAA, the Conference, the State of Washington and any other governing body is of paramount importance to the University.? The overall responsibility of this position is for the successful operation of the program in full compliance with all such rules and regulations. As a condition of employment, the Employee shall be required to participate in rules education programs offered by the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. 

Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, communications, business, public relations, or a related field. Professional experience may substitute for stated educational requirements. A minimum of two years of experience in video, multimedia production, and/or a related field. Proficient in video editing programs, technical use of video cameras, and possess superior organizational skills in order to coordinate several major video projects simultaneously. Ability to consistently lift and carry at least 40 pounds.

Experience in college or professional athletics or comparable experience in highly professional settings.
