SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER, Research Laboratory of Electronics, will play a central role working collaboratively and independently on behalf of the Faculty Director. Will provide operational leadership working closely with a variety of stakeholders including, the faculty director, faculty leadership, collaborators across MIT, and a broad range external partners. This role is ideal for a strategic, entrepreneurial, and highly organized individual who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about driving strategies to foster greater collaboration on campus, in government and industry through cross-sector collaboration.

The Waves, Bits & Molecules Laboratory (WBML) is a new initiative focused on innovation in semiconductor technology for health sciences. The pioneering research focuses on innovation in semiconductors, biology, machine learning, and material science toward an intelligent closed-loop system of non- or minimally invasive sensors and actuators enabling personalized and periodic monitoring of biomarkers to improve healthcare and wellness.


Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree, preferred in a related field  (engineering, life sciences, physical sciences or business); a minimum of five years of relevant experience in program management, higher education, or physical sciences innovation; strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines; excellent communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills; experience working in or with academic institutions, research programs, faculty and  interdisciplinary teams; ability to resolve complex issues; a high level of discretion, tact, and professionalism. PREFERRED: Familiarity with MIT systems, structures, and policies; Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, physical sciences, life sciences, business.); experience managing large, multi-stakeholder academic or research initiatives; or Research Administration experience in higher ed & academic sponsored research environments.
