This is a half-time (20 hours/week) opportunity supporting the success of the new

Credential of Leadership, Impact and Management in Business (CLIMB) program at Harvard Business School Online

. This position will formulate and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to reach two key audience segments: New Leaders and Experienced Leaders. This position will support revenue and enrollment goals of the new program by refining ways to reach target audience, refine advertising and messaging, analyzing funnel data to identify key areas in conversion process, as well as providing insights and recommendations to program advising function.


Position Description

  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive marketing plan to reach two key audience segments: New Leaders and Experienced Leaders.
  • Research direct buys to reach these audiences in more targeted ways
  • Refine our paid media advertising for the program
  • Develop and optimize e-mail workflows and messaging
  • Lead webinars to support registration and help plan other live marketing opportunities such as CLIMB events at HBS Online’s annual conference, Connext
  • Analyze demographic and funnel data and make recommendations for most impactful use of resources
  • Partner closely with the program advising function to reach our increasing revenue goals
  • Craft presentations and communicate recommendations, insights, and data to cross-functional teams
  • Position responsible for other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Education beyond high school may count toward experience

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior product marketing experience preferred
  • An ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal audiences (e.g. faculty, software engineers, marketing managers) and external audiences (e.g. prospective customers or partners) is critical
  • Experience conducting research, gathering information from many sources, filtering what is most important, and synthesizing findings into actionable recommendations
  • Experience with email automation tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud a plus)
  • Proficiency in Office suite, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated initiative to improve marketing performance, use innovative marketing strategies, and collaborate across departments to improve business results
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as demonstrated presentation and negotiation abilities
  • Pitches in where needed - “no job is too big or small.”

Additional Information

This role is offered as a hybrid (some combination of onsite and remote) where you are required to be onsite at our Boston, MA based campus several days per month. Specific days and schedule will be determined between you and your manager.

This is a 20 hours/week, overtime-eligible position.
