Job Summary
 

Reporting to the Globus marketing and communications manager, the focus of this position is to support the marketing, sales and customer management processes so that Globus Customer Team members are successful in their day-to-day activities. As a critical member of the Customer Team the Marketing Coordinator will plan and execute activities in support of driving awareness, converting users to paying subscribers, and retaining existing customers.
We are a small team that constantly juggles multiple priorities; your objective will be to assist the team throughout the customer journey. The role involves a broad range of tasks, such as managing events, assisting with development of campaign materials, and expanding our social media presence, as well as stewardship of various support systems to ensure the team is always operating with current and accurate data. The ideal candidate is an energetic individual seeking a dynamic environment with opportunities to broaden their experience and knowledge, while applying proven marketing techniques. This role is perfect for you if you have some experience in marketing, sales or other customer facing functions, and have strong process management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the end-to-end process to ensure a successful experience for customer team members exhibiting and presenting at industry conferences and other events. 

  • Coordinates with multiple parties to generate and inventory marketing materials, handle event logistics, and support post-event communications and outreach.

  • Collaborates with Customer Team members to develop ideas and create/organize content in support of marketing and sales activities. 

  • Develops and maintains prospect lists for marketing campaigns.

  • Builds and maintains a media library for use in marketing campaigns.

  • Builds and maintains an internal library of presentations and templates, and publishes presentation content on external channels.

  • Assists with the design and execution of email campaigns.

  • Assists with social media communications to grow awareness of Globus and amplify partner and community activities.

  • Coordinates development and distribution of monthly newsletters.

  • Uses systems to track inbound sales leads, campaign effectiveness metrics, event registrations, website metrics, social media statistics, and other data required to maximize effectiveness of all customer team initiatives.

  • Develops marketing communications, advertising, or publicity materials with a moderate level of guidance from others. Develops, plans, and coordinates the development and production of marketing and publicity materials and campaigns, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.

  • Performs one or more of the following marketing functions: marketing communications /advertising; Web blogs or digital marketing; market research; development or review and update of the marketing infrastructure and management of external sales agency relationships.

  • Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications
 

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

  • Experience planning and executing conferences, trade shows and other marketing events.

  • Knowledge of digital marketing processes and tools.

  • Knowledge of market research processes and tools.

  • Knowledge of media relations and the press release distribution process.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Microsoft PowerPoint.

  • Experience with automated communications platforms; Mailchimp strongly preferred.

  • Experience with social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter/X.

  • Working knowledge of Google Documents, Sheets and Slides.

  • Familiarity with Adobe Design Suite strongly preferred.

Working Conditions

  • This job requires occasional evening or weekend hours.

  • Position available for hybrid work with in-person meetings required, Chicago area candidate preferred.

  • Occasional travel to conferences and other events may be required.
