Marketing Coordinator
Job Description
The College of Health Solutions at ASU seeks a marketing coordinator to provide project management and marketing functions in support of college goals and in accordance with priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications.
This position will assist with all phases of content creation, from concept development through production, for digital and print marketing materials that support recruitment, retention and branding goals for the college. The position will research, write and edit for email campaigns, digital advertising, web pages, printed flyers and brochures, and will contribute to the development and implementation of brand strategy and college initiatives. The role will coordinate with subject matter experts and integrate input to ensure quality and alignment with ASU brand standards.
The ideal candidate is a flexible self-starter who is detail-oriented and skilled with or willing to learn grammar and AP Style.
The position reports to the Assistant Director of Marketing, and works as part of a collaborative and supportive integrated team of marketing, communications and events professionals.
This role is eligible for hybrid work after an initial 90-day in-office period.

Essential Duties
- Coordinates projects for a wide variety of marketing content and materials; ensures goals and deadlines are achieved.
- Writes and edits marketing materials of all types in alignment with brand standards.
- Collaborates with marketing, communications and events team members and project managers across the college.
- Collaborates, consults and actively participates in new idea generation, brainstorming concepts, and making recommendations for creative ways to accomplish goals.
- Edits or rewrites existing copy; reads and proofs materials for accuracy, style, and readability, recommending changes where necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three (3) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of marketing practices and principles.
- Demonstrated knowledge of AP style and ASU brand guidelines.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar.
- Evidence of Media literacy and the ability to determine accuracy and appropriateness.
- Experience in problem solving and decision making.
- Evidence of effective communications including the ability to express ideas in a clear and logical manner with strong attention to detail.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Experience in organization, prioritizing workload, and time management.
- Experience in working effectively in an environment subject to tight deadlines which often includes conflicting priorities.
Working Environment
Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse (75%); required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work (10%) Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds (15%) Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential functions.
Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals.

The current training programs include behavioral health, biomedical diagnostics, biomedical informatics, exercise science, health promotion, health sciences, kinesiology, medical studies, nutrition, population health, science of health care delivery, and speech and hearing science. Our programs are offered at ASU’s Downtown Phoenix, Tempe, Polytechnic, West and Lake Havasu campuses, as well as on Mayo Clinic’s campus in north Phoenix.
