Position Summary
This position is responsible for data and project management associated with all curriculum in the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP), including: data gathering and reporting, education technology, curriculum operations process improvement, online course listings, course and program evaluations, internal records, coordination of PhD and MD curriculum integration, and auditing of students’ completion of curricular requirements.
The position plays a critical role in curriculum renewal and modernization efforts underway in and will serve as a liaison to registrars and education offices for the Office of Graduate Studies and the Medical School, and educational technology vendors. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented, creative problem-solver with strong skill sets in data management, analytical thinking, and process improvement.


Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Data Management: Collects, manages, and maintains data for curriculum, education programs, assessments, program evaluations, and research. Develops and maintains a searchable database to produce reports and visualizations. Audits student completion of curricular requirements and evaluations and faculty completion of student performance.
  • Education Technology: Serves as MSTP education technology subject matter expert and liaison. Assesses needs, researches trends, recommends tools, serves on campus committees, and maintains contact with vendors.
  • Course Management: Updates MSTP online course material (Keystone), serves as liaison to University Curriculum Offices & Registrars, and maintains internal curriculum records including course offerings, learning objectives, and syllabi. Develops educational framework for seminars, conferences and in-service programs. Develops educational materials including: Q & A documents, overheads, slides, forms and other teaching tools.
  • Operations & Process Improvement: Writes protocols and timelines to ensure efficiency and quality of curriculum operations, including regulatory compliance. Trains staff and reviews operations annually to meet goals and standards.
  • Assists with education research and project grant applications by collecting data, contributing to application materials, and coordinating with Institutional Review Board.
  • Performs other duties as assigned, such as MSTP ACCESS and admissions support.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Biomedical/Biological Sciences.
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Experience developing project and grant proposals.
  • Familiarity with computer programs including Keystone, Tableau, WordPress, and SPSS.
  • Self-starter; critical thinker; strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills (written and verbal) including presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple data sets and project timelines at once while maintaining data integrity and producing on-time deliverables.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams with colleagues from different units.


Required Qualifications


  • Master’s degree, preferably in education, communication, social science, biomedical/biological sciences or related field required with a minimum of 3 to 5 years related experience working in an education or administrative environment, preferably with project management experience.
  • Proficient in Office software programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), WUCRSL, Qualtrics, and Canvas LMS.
  • Able to collect, analyze, and report on data.

Salary Range
$48,700.00 - $80,500.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
