Student Well-being, Intervention, and Follow-up Team (SWIFT) is a newly created department in the Division of Health, Well-being, & Safety (HWS). The SWIFT Director is responsible for overseeing the response to students in crisis, after-hours, and connecting them to support and resources to positively impact their general well-being which is necessary for academic success. Based on organizational objectives, the Director leads and manages the SWIFT department by providing strategic vision and creative leadership in service design, program development, marketing, implementation, evaluation, and assessment of services designed to assist undergraduate and graduate students in their academic, personal, and social development. The Director is responsible for managing the departmental operating budget, which involves complex multiple fund sources. The Director also collaborates and provides leadership with ongoing campus cross-functional and organizational efforts to promote health and wellness to reduce, high-risk behaviors among students, and strengthen campus crisis intervention. This role will have a dual reporting line to the Associate Vice Chancellor - HWS (and/or designated HWS leader) and the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) to address the required credentialing and privileges of licensed clinical practice on campus. This role will work closely with all departments within HWS, and all campus partners, but specifically: the UCR Police & Campus Safety department, Campus Advocacy, Resources & Education (CARE), Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), and Student Affairs Case Management (SACM).

The salary range for the SWIFT Intervention Response Director is $93,400 - $177,200 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $150,000 annually. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position.

Advanced knowledge and applied background in behavioral health counseling methods and techniques, crisis intervention, treatment planning and case management.
