Job Summary | Eastern Washington University School of Psychology invites applications for a Lecturer in the Ed.S. School Psychology Program, to begin September 2023. This lecturer position is a full-time, one-year appointment, and eligible for renewal for successive annual appointments dependent on performance, need, and funding. The position includes online teaching responsibilities, curricular development, and program committee and department meeting participation. This position requires candidates to be located or willing to relocate to the greater Spokane-Cheney area. EWU’s School of Psychology is committed to the selection, training, supervision, and professional success of students in our various programs and in the Educational Specialist School Psychology degree, in keeping with the high standards established by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). The program offers a structured sequence of curricular and applied experiences with an emphasis on closely supervised training experiences both at the University and in field sites. Program faculty members have established strong relationships with area local and state-wide agencies, and students engage in meaningful practica and internship experiences across their time in the program. School psychology training occurs in a learning community that is intentionally focused on both knowledge development and skill application through on-site application in school districts. In this way, the program fulfills its purpose of preparing diverse, competent, and caring professionals to meet the needs of diverse urban and rural communities. The selected candidate will join a committed and enthusiastic Psychology faculty. Summary of Responsibilities: The current position includes primary responsibilities for teaching in both tracks (hybrid and online) of the EdS School Psychology Program, with additional support of other School of Psychology needs (e.g., undergraduate psychology courses). Teaching modalities will include face-to-face, hybrid, and online. Opportunities for summer teaching, although not required, may be available.
