Position Details
Job Summary | The Eastern Washington University (EWU) Department of Physical Therapy invites applications for a full-time (9 month) Lecturer appointment in the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program to begin August 16, 2024. This position is a one-year appointment for AY2024-2025. Candidates with expertise in neurological settings and experience teaching in a DPT Program are preferred. Position responsibilities include:
The DPT Program is located at EWU Spokane, a health sciences campus with state-of-the-art space and facilities. The campus is located next to downtown Spokane, and is within walking distance to trails along the Spokane River. Spokane is the heart of the Inland Northwest, with excellent restaurants, theaters, shopping, skiing, hiking, lakes, and high-quality schools and affordable housing. The Spokane campus is a satellite of EWU’s main campus in Cheney, WA. The DPT Program is 2 years 9 months in length, has 9 full-time faculty members, and admits 38 students each fall. Opportunities for summer teaching may be available. On top of salary, the university offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life insurance and retirement. Conditions of Employment | This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16.
