Position Summary/Purpose of Position: | The Department of Accounting & Information Assurance (AIA) at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park seeks to hire Non-Tenure Professional Track Faculty. The appointments will be at the level of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer depending on experience and qualifications. The starting date will be August 2024. Applicants are expected to develop and teach high quality courses — both in person and online — to students in our undergraduate, specialty accounting masters, MBA, and executive education programs. Candidates are expected to have a primary focus on course delivery and development and assist with program administration. The mix of these responsibilities differs across the ranks and can vary over time. One of 12 schools and colleges located on the University of Maryland, College Park campus, the Robert H. Smith School of Business is a recognized leader in management research and education for the global economy. A comprehensive business school, Smith offers undergraduate, specialty masters, online graduate programs, full-time and part-time MBA, Executive MBA, PhD, and non-degree executive education programs as well as outreach services to the corporate community. The school is consistently ranked among the top business schools by leading business publications such as U.S. News & World Report, Financial Times, Bloomberg BusinessWeek, and The Wall Street Journal. |
