Job Summary
The Messaoudi lab is looking to fill multiple positions of lab technician. We are seeking individuals who is interested in contributing to projects investigating the impact of nutrition, infection and age on the immune system. They will also contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment and inventories of reagents /lab supplies and general lab organization.
Specific responsibilities include: 1) Performing standard immunological assays such as flow cytometry, ELISA, ELISPOT, luminex, to measure various aspects of immune responses under homeostasis and disease conditions; 2) perform standard molecular biology and cell culture experiments including Western Blot, qPCR, plasmid cloning, passaging cells and transfection; 3) Generation of libraries for next-generation sequencing (RNA-Seq, ATAC-Seq, ChIP-Seq); Analyze experimental data and interpret results to contribute to manuscript and grants reports. Person has to be willing to work with human and nonhuman primate specimens
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft tools.

Preferred Education/Experience
Bachelor degree in a related field (immunology, microbiology, biology) and prior research experience is preferred. Applicants comfortable using R studio, Python, Linux are strongly encouraged to apply.
