The College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH) is dedicated to making a difference in our communities through outreach, academic programs, and community partnerships. Job Overview

The College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology’s Office of Innovations and Community Partnerships (OICP) aims to increase the efficacy of College and University initiatives including but not limited to: offering partner development and coordination, strategic planning, technical assistance, and capacity building. CECH OICP directly supports a wide array of centers, institutes, and departments in the college including: the CECH Office of Inclusive Excellence, Impact Accelerator, Evaluation Services Center, Systems Development Improvement Center, External Funding Enterprise, and the Center for Youth Futures.

 

We are searching for a Junior Research Associate experienced in community engaged research to organize and bolster existing projects related to Collective Change.

 

Funding for this position is based upon the availability of external funds.


Essential Functions
  • General support of research and external funding initiatives of the Impact Accelerator including McGlone, McGovern, and the Spring Research Conference.
  • Coordinate a team of students of co-researchers for an Inclusive Excellence pilot focused on community-engaged research to understand the experiences and needs of our students in CECH.
  • Support the development of competitive research proposals for Community Engaged Research; Implementation of equitable evaluation framework; Research collaborative change tools, further integrating and utilizing collaborative change research, evaluation, and design (ccRED).
  • Secondary support for Imagining America National Gathering for social change researchers.
  • Primary support for Carnegie Community Engagement Classification.
  • General support of the Journal for Non-Profit Best Practice in Research.
  • Support Non-profit Accelerator needs assessment planning.
  • Assist with or may work independently on whole projects/problems.
  • Contribute effectively to the collective team effort.
  • Analyze research results, building presentations from those results.
  • Accomplish assigned results for project/studies, or for significant aspects of larger, complex assignments.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
