Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
The Systems Engineer supports cutting-edge research projects. The candidate has a strong background in cloud computing, particularly with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, as well as a solid understanding of high-performance computing (HPC) environments and containerization technologies. This role is pivotal in enabling researchers to efficiently and securely conduct their work in a state-of-the-art technological environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience with high-performance computing environments.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with diverse groups of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to Obtain TS/SCI clearance.
Preferences:
Preferences:
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
  • Prior experience in cybersecurity research or related projects.
  • Strong understanding of network and security protocols, policies, and standards.
  • Experience in network automation through scripting or programming.
  • Have an Active TS/SCI clearance.
Additional Certifications:
  • Ability to Obtain TS/SCI clearance.
