Texas A&M University’s Technology Services has an exciting opportunity as an IT Professional II (Apple Device Management Professional II). In this position, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical support, management, and administration for our unified Apple Device Management environment across Texas A&M’s main campus and health campuses statewide. 


 


As an IT Professional II (Apple Device Management Professional II), you will manage technical baseline configuration profiles and policies, assist IT administrators with implementing college or unit level configurations, and investigate and resolve endpoint management service delivery issues. You will play a key role in facilitating root case analysis and problem resolutions with IT partners and vendors. As part of your role, you will also monitor and address Apple device security non-compliance, ensuring our systems remain secure and up to date. Additionally, you will serve as a subject matter expert and main point of contact for our faculty and staff for Apple device management problems providing them with expectational customer service.  


 


Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll do:    


  • Identify, research, and provide solutions for endpoint technology problems  

  • Provide training, troubleshooting, and technical support for IT partners and customers 

  • Offer technical guidance for platform design and build engineers  

  • Demonstrate exceptional customer-centric service  

  • Resolves configuration system performance issues 

  • Coordinate installation and maintenance of critical and non-critical software  

  • Implement endpoint management configurations and patch management mechanisms 

  • Handle non-compliance remediation or exception recommendations for workstation endpoints 

  • Coordinate, design, and test disaster recovery plans 

  • Participate in IT training and professional development activities 


 


Salary Range: Commensurate with education and experience.     


 


Qualifications     


  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience AND  three years of information technology experience.  

  • A well-qualified candidate would also possess expertise in managing devices in Jamf Pro or Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, expertise in scripting in Bash or PowerShell, and expertise in security compliance standards including NIST SP 800-53r5 and CIS Benchmarks.
