Job Description

Glimpse of the Day-to-Day

As an IT Manager you will support the use of Open Access Lab services, technologies, equipment, and projects, at the Student Computing Center, during the evening shift (4:oo pm -12:00 am) Monday - Friday. Flexible scheduling is available between the semesters.

You will coach and mentor approximately 25 student technicians including training, scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations. Being self-directed and resourceful are vital as you and your team provides time and security sensitive incident management, PC and Printer maintenance to staff and faculty during a time most campus offices are closed.  

Ideal candidates are customer oriented, able to work with student workers & faculty and comfortable with technology in order to support the products and programs offered by the Open Access Labs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Three years of information technology experience which includes some small team / project leadership

  • Problem resolution skills

  • Supervisory skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and self-direct work
