Salary Range : Generally starting at $25,000-$26,750 (.5 FTE) per academic year. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.

Summary
This position is designated as a 50%, 9-month appointment set to begin August 2024. The faculty member is to teach 12 credit hours of courses for the department each academic year. Candidates with expertise in the areas of human biology, anatomy and physiology are encouraged to apply. Applicants should possess good interpersonal and communication skills, including proficiency in English.
Essential Functions
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and teach courses in Human Physiology and Nutrition, including but not limited to HPNU 1010 Human Biology.
- Coordinate multiple sections of courses to maintain consistency.
- Advise students.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in anatomy, physiology, biology, exercise physiology or closely related clinical field.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in anatomy, physiology, biology, exercise physiology or closely related field, or professional doctoral degree in health-related field (e.g. MD, DO, DPT, DC).
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk. Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate bending, moderate energy requirements and fine motor skills. Talking and hearing within normal range. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
