About Department

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine was founded in 1819 as the Medical College of Ohio and became part of the University of Cincinnati in 1896. It is the oldest medical college west of the Allegheny Mountains. Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine is offering a full time Instructor of Clinical Medicine position in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Immunology, Allergy, and Rheumatology.

 

Seeking an Immunology/Allergy physician to train for two years as a clinical instructor in basic science bench research through the IMSTAR program. This position also includes minimal clinical time seeing patients for the UC Health system, a system including the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, University of Cincinnati Medical Center, UC Physicians, and other affiliated hospitals.

Essential Functions

Duties will include contributing to the clinical/patient care, research and teaching missions of the division. 

  • Clinical/patient care responsibilities will include providing general Immunology/Allergy consultations.
  • Active role in departmental fellowship programs as well as UC Medical Center (UCMC) resident and UC medical student teaching.
  • Teaching duties will include providing lectures or leading small group discussions as part of the College of Medicine or UCMC residency curriculum, clinical case conferences, and journal clubs.
  • Participation in departmental and/or divisional service meetings and conferences

Minimum Requirements

Applicants for this faculty position must have all of the following prior to effective date of appointment:

  • MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent).
  • Ohio Medical License.
  • Completion of 3-year ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency.
  • Completion of 2-year ACGME-accredited Immunology/Allergy fellowship.
  • Board Eligible or Certified in Immunology/Allergy.
