POSITION PURPOSE
The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is currently seeking a Instructional Designer - Technical Writer who will support ongoing operational documentation, including updating policies and procedures documentation and helping maintain the OSP internal SharePoint Site.

The technical writer’s primary objective will be to develop, organize, write, and edit OSP operational procedures to incorporate changes related to UW’s System to Administer Grants Electronically (SAGE) Central system and operations in support of sponsored programs at UW. The writer will also maintain a comprehensive library of business terminology and documentation for OSP business processes, including updated research compliance guidance documents. This effort will involve review and analysis of existing documentation and guidance to update that guidance and documentation into OSP processes as a whole.

The role will require analysis of business processes, requirements, and study of new applications to translate this information into the required documentation. This position requires great attention to detail, with excellent oral and written communication skills. This individual will work in collaboration with various team members, inside and outside OSP, to meet the objectives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
60% - Research, plan, develop, organize, write, and edit new and existing operational procedure content for an OSP staff target audience
