Be a part of a nationwide project focused on dissolving barriers for 2-year college transfers to attain 4-year science and math degrees! We seek an experienced administrative program manager with excellent organizational/communication skills and a commitment to building student success in BS degree attainment regardless of where they start their academic journey.
Summary of Duties
The IMPACT STEM Transfer Network is a new, nationwide consortium of 2-year and 4-year institutions, funded by a six-year grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute 'Inclusive Excellence 3' (HHMI IE3) program. We are leading coordinated efforts on and between our 40+ campuses to empower and reduce barriers for students along the entire transfer pathway toward a BS degree. We are building peer mentoring programs for transfer students across campuses, supporting undergraduate research experiences tailored toward transfer success, building communities of practice among 2-year/4-year STEM faculty, academic advisors and students, and revising institutional practices to build campus environments that are welcoming and supportive of all students to successfully work toward and complete a BS degree. You can read about the IMPACT STEM Transfer Network (also known as Learning Community Cluster 7), including a list of the 15 four-year and 30 two-year institutional partners, on the HHMI IE3 website . Position may be 100% remote, hybrid, or in-person.
The IMPACT STEM Network is led by 3-person Operational Leadership team and a Steering Committee consisting of representatives from each of the 15 teams of 2-year/4-year institutions. The IMPACT STEM Project Manager will work closely with the 3 Operational Leaders on all organizational elements of the IMPACT STEM Network and projects, and report to the WSU supervisor. They will be the operational administrator for the Network, supporting collaboration, communication, formative assessment, and reporting among the institutional teams over the term of the grant. The incumbent in this position will regularly exercise independent judgement and discretion while managing multiple moving project targets simultaneously.
The Project Manager position has the potential for annual renewal for up to six years (as long as funding remains available), subject to regular evaluation. This position includes health and retirement benefits, with a salary range of $55,000 - $67,000 per year dependent upon applicant qualifications.
Physical location is negotiable; most work will necessarily be on-line because of the geographically dispersed nature of our project.
