Identity Access Management Engineer III (Remote)

The University of Arizona Global Campus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Identity and Access Engineer Level 3 to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and maintain our identity and access systems, including account provisioning systems, to ensure that our organization's information is secure and accessible only by authorized personnel. This role requires advanced technical expertise in identity and access management, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement complex identity and access management solutions, including account provisioning systems, to meet organizational requirements

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve the identity and access management system

  • Develop and maintain access control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Manage and troubleshoot identity and access management systems, account provisioning systems, and related infrastructure

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and resolve issues related to identity and access management and account provisioning

  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats and recommend remediation plans

  • Document identity and access management processes and procedures for training and compliance purposes

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior-level identity and access engineers

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong technical expertise in identity and access management systems such as Active Directory, LDAP, SSO, IAM, Okta, Duo and Azure Identity

  • Knowledge of security principles and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience in identity and access management, with expertise in account provisioning systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ITIL are preferred

Rate of Pay: $86,870 - $112,932

Compensation Type: Salary at 1.0 full-time equivalence (FTE)
