Description of Work Unit | Colorado State University is located in Fort Collins, Colorado (approximately 65 miles North of Denver), is situated on nearly 5,000 acres of land, including the main campus, and a mountain campus (Pingree Park). The Hydraulics and Hydrology labs are located at 4451 LaPorte Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado. The Hydraulics Lab is an industrial environment. The will be exposed to constant or intermittent sounds and in proximity to moving, mechanical parts. Physical demands include the ability to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Candidate also must have the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach. |

Position Summary | The position will mainly assist Dr. Christopher Thornton with his research in the area of Hydraulic Engineering. Such research includes hydraulic model studies, hydraulic performance testing and research in the fields of open channel and closed conduit hydraulics.
