Position Summary/Purpose of Position:
This position serves as a member of the ARLIS Human Resources team and is primarily responsible for providing administrative support in the areas of payroll, contract management, onboarding, position management, internship programs, workforce reporting, and the search process. Responds to questions and inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures. Maintains personnel files in accordance with applicable rules and regulations. Contributes to other ARLIS administrative needs as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience:
Four years clerical experience, three years of which must have involved the application of human resources policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Thorough knowledge of human resources practices and procedures. 
  • Knowledge of of basic mathematics including ratios and percentages. 
  • Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, systems, and equipment. 
  • Skill in the use of keyboards, automated systems, computers, and related software to facilitate assigned work. 
  • Skill in organizing and executing multiple assignments under specific time constraints. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. 
  • Ability to understand and interpret human resources policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to provide guidance and training to others. 
  • Ability to maintain poise and courtesy under pressure. 
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and tact. 
  • Ability to accurately perform mathematical computations. 
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.

Physical Demands
Sedentary work performed in an office environment; exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
