Position Summary
In support of the research initiatives on the UNMC campus, this position will perform histological procedures for the Tissue Sciences Facility (TSF). Duties include tissue preparation, sectioning and staining; analysis and troubleshooting, as well as performing standard research techniques and operations.

Biological Science or related field 
 
(Will consider five years related education and experience combined of which two years must include related post high school education and a minimum of one year related experience)

Biological Science or related field
Preferred Experience:
Two or more years’ experience including IHC, IF, ISH and FISH protocols. 
 
Two or more years’ of advancing experience in a research or clinical laboratory setting working in Pathology, Biology or Biochemistry.
Preferred License: Yes
If yes, what is the preferred licensure/certification?:
Histology Technologist (HT), American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) and/or lmmunohistochemistry certifications (NSH/ ASCP).
Preferred Computer Applications: Microsoft PowerPoint

Preferred Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
