Job Description Summary
The Graduate Assistant for the Center for Global Engagement provides ancillary support to all main areas of recruitment; email, phone and video calls, inquiry management, event planning, and prospect student follow-up. This position is also expected to become familiar with all aspects of the undergraduate admissions process and serve as a resource to other undergraduate admissions areas as required.
Job Description
Duties and Tasks:
- Provide phone and email support to students and families.
- Interface regularly with the undergraduate admissions team in order to come up with solutions and provide excellent customer service to prospective students and their families.
- Assist with administrative functions such as email and phone outreach, events management and other related support tasks and projects.
- Attend and participate at on-campus events.
- Giving Daily and Weekend tours
- Performs other duties as assigned by the undergraduate admissions management team.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in a Saint Leo University graduate school program is required. Graduate students in any major are eligible to apply.
- Strong customer service orientation and interest in advocating and recruiting for Saint Leo University. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision
- Ability to interface effectively with area wide variety of diverse populations.
- Flexibility in work hours; some evenings and weekends may be required
- Be able to react with nimble solutions to difficult problems on short notice
- Must be student-success oriented.
- Customer service experience
- Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Candidates will demonstrate good communication skills (written and oral) and be detail-oriented.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS:
Current enrollment as a full-time student in a Saint Leo University graduate school program is required.
Graduate students in any major are eligible to apply.
