Job Purpose | The Youth Programs Manager makes independent decisions to effectively manage the Center for Community Engagement’s middle and high school youth programs as well as Gonzaga’s programs and partnerships with the Gonzaga Family Haven- a supportive housing facility operated by Catholic Charities of Eastern Washington (CCEW). This position supports after-school and summer youth programs, events, and youth and family engagement in close partnership with Spokane Public Schools and CCEW. This position serves as a liaison to school and non-profit partners, community members, and Gonzaga students, staff, and faculty. Additionally, the Youth Programs Manager works with the Center for Community Engagement staff to plan and coordinate volunteer training, student leader development, and events. Training and risk management are critical components of this position in order to manage and mitigate potential risk for the university and community members. |
