- *Please note that applications will be reviewed as they are received. The Freshwater Community Ecology Lab is seeking a post-doctoral research associate to investigate drivers of fish distributions and population dynamics. The successful candidate will work closely with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) to identify drivers of rare and endemic native darter occupancy and abundance in the Ouachita Highlands using one of the USFWS longest running (25 years) aquatic monitoring datasets. The project will integrate multiple data types and modeling approaches to link long-term fish responses to environmental variability. Primary job tasks include writing, working with collaborators, data management and manipulation, and quantitative modeling. The Freshwater Community Ecology Lab and Oklahoma Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We are committed to fostering an environment where diversity of background and thought is accepted and encouraged. For more specific information about the projects, please contact email@example.com. To Apply: Interested applicants should send a CV, cover letter, and contact information for 3 references to firstname.lastname@example.org with “darter post-doc” as the subject line. This project will be in close collaboration with US Fish and Wildlife Service, the Oklahoma Cooperative Fish and Wildlife Research Unit, and Ohio State University. We can offer flexibility regarding the location of the position, including Columbus, OH, Stillwater, OK, or remote work.
