Summary of Duties:

WSU College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Business Services is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our team as a Fiscal Specialist 2. We are a team of people who are excited to work together in support of the college. We are looking for an organized, collaborative, resourceful, and customer service oriented individual to provide specialized fiscal, analytical, and administrative support and oversight in the areas of procurement, payroll, service centers and records. General expectations involve critical thinking, analysis, and thoughtful recommendations for solutions and strategic planning.

Required Qualifications:

Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Fiscal Specialist 1 AND 15 quarter hours OR 10 semester hours of college level accounting; OR equivalent education/experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrated customer service experience working with a diverse clientele.
  • Demonstrated experience that requires strong time management, fiscal accountability, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and comfort with Microsoft Office software products.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial budgeting and analysis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business accounting or related field.
  • Previous experience working in higher education, government, or equivalent setting.
  • Experience with and knowledge of the WSU Business policies and procedures especially in relation to procurement, payroll processing, and service centers.
  • Demonstrated work experience that requires fiscal accountability, internal controls, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with financial enterprise system.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Workday FDM areas and roles.

Monthly Salary: Range 43, $3,480.00 - $4,656.00–Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
