Financial Analyst

The Rory Meyers College of Nursing Post-Award Grant Office is recruiting a grant financial analyst to provide day-to-day financial administration and management support. The College has an active research portfolio of awards. This position will oversee budgets and facilitate financial transactions including payroll allocation and effort tracking; implement and assist with developing internal control procedures; provide analyses of grant budgets including discussions on prioritization and programmatic goals; preparation of monthly reconciliations and financial reports; provide guidance to the research community of the College on financial and administrative matters; partner and manage relationships with NYU research offices to ensure smooth workflows; apply and ensure departmental, institutional and federal compliance as applicable. This position will service as a backup for the Grant Administrator position as needed for pre-award tasks.

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience:
3+ years relevant financial management experience or equivalent combination. Must include experience with expense review, financial analysis and budget management.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in an academic/higher education setting. Experience with sponsored project financial management.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills including the ability to work independently and prioritize workflow. Familiarity with Windows-based software applications, and proficiency with database and spreadsheet software.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Presentation or training skills

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $63,900.00 to USD $78,100.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
