Job Overview

The College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS) is seeking a full-time Events and Program Coordinator. This position will plan and execute a variety of both in-person and virtual events, workshops, and programs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have a problem-solving mindset, be flexible, motivated, and inclusive.

 

This position will plan, coordinate, execute, oversee and provide associated assessment, administrative & financial support for monthly, annual and bi-annual college events that support the culture, mission, vision and development of the college.

 

This position requires occasional work both on and off UC’s main campuses during morning, evenings, and weekends. The candidate must be able to travel around UC’s campuses and Cincinnati for events. Personal vehicle use is required. The candidate must also have the capability to load and use a moving dolly.


Essential Functions
  • Plan, coordinate, execute and oversee the execution of a variety of college events, workshops and programs such as New Faculty Orientation, College Advisory Council, Welcome Day, Guest Speakers, Employee engagement activities/events, etc.
  • Create, gather, evaluate and report on metrics through various software applications; propose new ideas and any necessary changes using methods such as event debriefs.
  • Manage and schedule event requests through scheduling software.
  • Provide financial administrative support (e.g. purchasing) for program initiatives.
  • Develop, administer and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires. Compile statistics and prepare reports as needed.
  • Positively interact with staff, faculty, external agencies and guests and other university departments.
  • May monitor program objectives, as well as quantitative and qualitative data, on progress toward objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

One (1) year of program coordination experience.
