Description of Work Unit | The Integrated Solid Waste Section (ISW) provides a clean and healthy campus environment in which to study, work, and live. The section removes solid waste from local campuses according to the ISW plan thus maximizing the reuse of campus waste through recycling and composting, with landfilling as a last resort. |
Position Summary | This position operates a 22,420 GVW rear load to collect cardboard for recycling Friday Tuesday through Saturday 5am – 1:30pm. This position operates a 64,000 GVW trash truck and a 41,360 GVW recycle truck on an as needed to assist. |

In performing this function, the employee operates and performs operator maintenance and daily pre-operation safety inspections on a 41,360 GVW side load recycle truck and 22,420 GVW rear load recycle truck, a 64,000 GVW trash truck. |
