What We Want

The Team Administrator is responsible for assisting Women's Equestrian Program with administrative duties. Handles scheduling of games facilities, team travel arrangements, film exchange, and game management duties.

Position Details: Travel is required with assigned sport. Working nights, weekends, and holidays as required to complete assigned tasks.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Two years of athletic administration or program experience

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree

  • Previous Division I college coaching experience

Responsibilities:

  • SCHEDULING - Initiates all contracts for shows. Ensures that all game guarantees are kept within the overall budget. Submits contracts to the Head Coach for approval and then a contract is generated for the Athletic Director to sign.

  • TRAVEL - Sets up the seasons travel itineraries, which includes a bidding process on buses, airline flights, and hotels. Itineraries are based on the game time and consist of a flight, bus transportation, hotel reservations, practice time reservations and any site-specific arrangements.     

  • ON-CAMPUS RECRUITING - Organizes and administrates recruiting weekends, including booking of the airline flights and the hotel room; the desired interviews and appointments are determined by the coaching staff. Reserves places to eat, reserves tours, and reserves admissions to functions. Completes appropriate prospective student athlete forms and requirements, prior to the visit.       

  • CAMPUS RELATIONS - Works directly with the Sports Information Director and Business Operations staff as the need arises. Arranges facility, menu, and meeting details. Arranges for other areas of the department to have access to the players so that those other areas (communications, marketing, graphics) can create films, handouts, and other materials.

  • STUDENT MANAGERS - Coordinates the managers program and the training of the managers; the managers program should consist of a head manager and several assistants. Processes paperwork with Athletics HR. Indirectly supervises Student Managers.           

  • PUBLIC RELATIONS - Sets up speaking engagements and publicity outings for the coaching staff. Works as the initial contact person with the general public, students, media, and corporate sponsors. Acts as a liaison for the athletic program.

  • COMPLIANCE - Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations concerning student-athletes: conduct, appearance, road games, punctuality and other areas as deemed appropriate. Performs other duties as assigned.
