Must be able to work outside in hot weather and carry objects of 20 lbs. or less.

Will work with student schedule.
Job Summary
Using a dissecting scope to process insect field samples Water planted experimental shrubs around Lexington.
Assist graduate students with field-based data collection
Assist with lab inventory and lab organization.
Record scale insect parasitism data from landscape trees.
Enter and organize research data .
Use tools like a pole pruner or hand pruner as necessary to collect insect data from shrubs and trees.
Use a sewing machine to create mesh bags for collecting data Use a lawnmower to maintain research plots.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
No specific skills are required, but applicants should be comfortable working with insect samples.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
Preferred Education/Experience
Interest or experience in entomology, field ecology, or a related field. Prior experience using a binocular microscope is desired. Familiarity with power tools is desired.
