Enterprise Applications Architect

Required Qualifications & Experience : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a four-year accredited college or university. Proven experience as an Enterprise Applications Architect or a similar role within a large organization. Minimum of ten years of technical knowledge and working experience in software design and architecture, including experience with architectural principles, design patterns, application frameworks, and development methodologies. Minimum of ten years of technical experience with enterprise relational database systems such as Oracle or equivalent. Experience with enterprise-level application integration and enterprise service bus (ESB) technologies; with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and microservices architecture; PeopleSoft modules such as Campus Systems, HCM, and Financials; and in customization, integration, and performance tuning of PeopleSoft applications. Strong understanding of PeopleSoft architecture and modules and proficiency in SQL and database concepts. The incumbent must have strong expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-level applications and systems; and in PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, Integration Broker, and other PeopleSoft development tools. Proficiency in various programming languages, databases, technologies, and enterprise software systems. The incumbent must have in-depth knowledge of security and compliance standards related to enterprise applications. The incumbent must have excellent analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills; excellent communication skills, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and conveying complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. The incumbent must have the ability to perform simultaneous tasks without degradation in work integrity; and act decisively under stressful situations. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability to work in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the California State University.
