Job Summary
 

The Graham Enrollment Counselor will spearhead the outbound recruitment initiatives for the UChicago Graham School, targeting high-caliber candidates for the Master of Liberal Arts and other course offerings. Collaborating with program directors and marketing leaders, this role focuses on achieving ambitious recruitment objectives and strategically guiding prospective students from initial inquiry through to enrollment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully increasing admissions to drive revenue growth in an academic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the admissions and enrollment process, delivering top-notch support to prospective students during their educational provider selection. Engages with prospects through various communication channels, including phone, email, and text.
  • Analyzes the effectiveness of marketing channels by monitoring how prospective students learn about the programs, assessing lead quality, and tracking student feedback on key messages. Communicates insights and potential areas for improvement to marketing leadership.
  • Contributes to the formulation of recruitment goals, and consistently monitors and reports on progress to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Conducts competitive analysis on rival programs to uncover recruitment best practices, and proposes innovative approaches to enhance existing strategies.
  • Acts as a proactive liaison for program prospects throughout the application and enrollment process, ensuring prompt completion of all required steps.
  • Facilitates personalized enrollment advising sessions with prospective students to align their career aspirations with suitable course offerings, addressing any questions or concerns.
  • Leads dynamic virtual information sessions alongside other Graham team members, showcasing the value of a UChicago education and engaging registrants early in their decision-making process. Proactively follows up with attendees to drive program applications and enrollments.
  • Utilizes prospective student data in Slate to optimize reporting capabilities and identify prospects for targeted follow-up, supporting data-driven decision-making in recruitment efforts.
  • Designs plans to increase brand awareness and alumni engagement as it relates to the College's admissions in the relevant region. Develops relationships with high schools and school counselors in the area. Plans and attends yield events, information sessions, and college fairs.
  • Expands outreach messaging via alumni clubs and special events and/or reunions. Maintains updated alumni contact records and cultivates new contacts in appropriate industries. Manages portfolio of prospective students that require special handling.
  • Performs other related work as needed.


Minimum Qualifications
 

Education:

Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Work Experience:

Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Preferred Qualifications  
 
Education:

  • Advanced degree.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience working as an admissions or enrollment advisor in a higher education setting.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Slate.

Preferred Competencies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Works well individually as well as in a team setting.
