Physical Requirements
Lifting, pushing, pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Sitting at computer for extended periods of time. Working outdoors installing field monitoring equipment and collecting samples.
Shift
Days Monday-Friday; 40 hours/week.
Typically, 8:00am-5:00pm, other hours as needed.
Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering seeks an Engineer Associate. This grant funded position is the point of contact for faculty, staff, and graduate students for projects related to water quality. This person oversees and recommends laboratory protocols for faculty, staff, and students on research projects related to water quality using laboratory equipment (AQ400, Shimadzu TOC analyzer, UV-Vis, LC/MS/MS etc.) and will assist with troubleshooting experiments. The Engineer Associate will work with graduate students to install projects, train students utilizing water quality equipment, and oversee water quality sample analysis.
