The Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Utah School of Medicine has an opening for a tenure-line faculty position as Division Chief of the Foot and Ankle servicer in the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, determined by the chosen candidate’s qualifications. The incumbent will lead a dynamic and successful foot and ankle team within an outstanding academic Orthopaedic Department.
Minimum requirements: Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery with greater than 8 years’ experience in academic practice, advanced fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Orthopaedic Surgery, and a proven track record of successful leadership in academic medicine. The candidate will work closely with the foot and ankle team and executive leadership to further the missions of the Department of Orthopaedics. Clinically, the candidate will provide foot and ankle Orthopaedic Surgical care. Applicants should have a sincere desire to lead, develop, and mentor others in focused clinical, research, and educational programs in Foot and Ankle Surgery and interest and experience in department and/or health system leadership. Candidates need to have demonstrated an exceptional academic interest and a clear track record of excellence in all aspects of Orthopaedics, including clinical care, education, research, and service.
