The Director, Treasury Operations and Regulatory Compliance works closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy COO to provide leadership and management of the day-to-day treasury and regulatory compliance functions within Emory Investment Management (EIM).
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the director collaborates closely with members of the Operations team, Investment team, and university treasury staff to ensure the timeliness and quality of cash processes, and regulatory compliance/reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the investment treasury function to achieve high levels of service, ensure accuracy of information, and adoption of best practices.
- Responsible for management and coordination of the day-to-day operational activities of the investment office including capital calls/distributions, margin calls, cash, liquidity, regulatory/compliance requests, subscription and redemption documents, ongoing ODD monitoring, and budget monitoring.
- Conducts operational risk monitoring as part of EIM's ongoing investment manager due diligence process.
- Responsible for all regulatory compliance filings, including TIC-SLT, 13F, SHCA, BE11, etc.
- Plays an integral role in EIM's budget tracking and vendor relationships.
- Identifies and implements process and system improvements to ensure the achievement of strategic objectives.
- Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field, and ten years of finance experience, including experience in an investment organization or related area, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- CPA and/or master's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field is preferred.
NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
